This book narrows down the ever expanding domain of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and concentrates in Production Systems. It focuses in control and execution aspects. The reader will learn about design and implementation of production systems that are cyber-physically formulated. These are modular and each component is autonomous within its design purposes. The overall result is an highly resilient and scalable system where constant change is part of the system’s operations. The book is divided in two parts. The first contains the theoretical basics of Cyber-Physical Productions Systems. The second provides a simple but illustrative programming exercise that will lead the reader in creating a prototype implementation of the cyber part of Cyber-Physical Production System.
