It all started with a ski lift made from rope and a small children’s ski slope. Today, Fjätervålen is a ski resort to be reckoned with and is considered by many to offer the best skiing. In 1975, the tourist endeavor in Fjätervålen commenced when three local landowners took the initiative to build a village of two hundred cottages, supported by a ski slope.
